Parker Print: Love Lane

Our favorite print of the season, Love Lane, was inspired by doodles in our Assistant Designer's notebook. We caught up with Paige to learn how her illustrations landed in our latest collection.

How do you and the team create the prints for each collection?

Each season we put together concept boards with different prints we’re loving and decide on color palettes for each collection. From there, I spend time on each print – reworking the colors, changing the scale and making changes to make it feel like Parker.

What do you love most about working on prints?

Prints are the core of our brand so it’s always a fun challenge to figure out how to get them right. So much time is spent making sure they’re perfect – it’s like a puzzle. It’s so rewarding when we get to see them come to life months later.

Where did the inspiration for Love Lane come from?

We were looking for a conversational print to add to the holiday collection. We were back and forth between if we wanted hearts or lips. I was playing around and just started doodling little hearts in my notebook – mixing small and larger ones and drawing them out in a scattered pattern. We loved it because it feels fun, but offering it in a graphic black and white keeps it sophisticated as well.

The Jacinta Skirt is my favorite from the collection. I love the midi length, it’s perfect for transitional dressing. I can wear it now with a blouse and then with tights and a sweater when it gets cooler. I’m also loving the super luxe velvet Narissa Top. It’s perfect for the holiday season because you can dress it up or down. I'll wear it with a skirt for work and change into high-waisted jeans and booties for a night out.
