To celebrate our favorite season, we’re taking you behind the scenes of our summer campaign photo shoot and chatting with our makeup and clothing stylists to snag an insider take on the season’s tips and trends, from beauty to fashion.
Hair/Makeup Stylist Stephanie Peterson
What’s the beauty vibe you were going for to complement the summer collection?
I’m feeling this 70’s summer glow. I’m going for bronzed skin, a neutral nude on the lips and a healthy coat of mascara.
What are you summer skincare tips?
Sunscreen. I wear 50+. I also like a good Vitamin C serum to fight pollutants in the air. New York is dirty and even more so in the summer. The serum helps protect skin from irritation.
How do you adapt your beauty routine when the weather gets hot?
I switch to a more water-resistant formula. I use Makeup Forever Waterblend foundation. I also tend to skip mascara during the day and opt for a brow look and put a hydrating lip balm on my lids to get a little shine.
What are the 5 things that are always in your bag when you travel?
Summer calls for spontaneous nights out, so I always want to be ready: Lip balm from Prestige Beauty, La Roche Posay sunscreen 50 spf, M.A.C. Ruby Woo red lipstick, Marc Jacobs liquid liner in black and Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara.

What are the top 5 closet staples for summer?
Cut-off shorts, clean white sneakers, a leather jacket for chilly summer nights, lace-up espadrilles and an easy breezy maxi dress.
What’s your favorite look from the shoot?
Hands down the lemon-print dress with the tutti frutti earrings. The print is perfect for summer!
What trends are you loving for the season?
I love mixing Crayola bright colors and prints together. It takes a bit of planning
but when done right, it creates confidence and the effect is irresistible.
Any tips for summer accessorizing?
Add a hat, or a neck scarf, a pendant necklace or a few gold bangles.
Classic sunglasses pair well with anything. Just make sure to keep it simple.
